Flying home to Tirana for the holidays? Skip the family taxi schedule: your own car, waiting at Tirana Airport with no deposit and no prepayment. Long-stay December and January rates start at €20 per day, and the booking takes two minutes on WhatsApp or online.
Long-stay car hire prices for December 2026 and January 2027
Our winter rates reward the stays the holidays actually create. The prices below are per day for a rental of two weeks or longer; every day is billed at its own month’s rate, so a booking across New Year’s Eve is priced automatically. Child seats (€5 per day) and an extra driver (€2 per day) can be added when you book.
- Hyundai i20, automatic (economy): December €25/day, January €20/day, February €20/day
- VW Golf 7 (compact): December €30/day, January €27/day, February €27/day
- KIA Stonic (SUV): December €30/day, January €27/day, February €27/day
- Suzuki Vitara Hybrid & Jeep Renegade (SUV): December €35/day, January €30/day, February €30/day
- VW Passat (mid-size): December €35/day, January €30/day, February €30/day

Unlimited kilometres are included everywhere, so visiting the whole family circuit from Tirana to Shkodër, Durrës or Vlorë costs nothing extra. Full Protection insurance is optional and stays priced by car type: €10 per day on standard cars, €15 per day on SUVs and €20 per day on the van.
Book early: the diaspora weeks sell out first
What is included in the price
Unlimited kilometres, 24/7 airport pick-up and drop-off, third-party liability insurance, and taxes. Everything else (full protection, child seats, extra driver, cross-border permit) is a clearly priced extra you choose at booking. No deposit, no credit card block, no prepayment.
Between 15 December and 10 January, returning families book our cars before they land, and our fleet is our own real fleet, not a broker listing. The cheapest cars go first: if you want the i20 or a van for the whole family, message us as soon as your flight is booked. You can book online in two minutes and pay when you pick the car up, in cash (euro or lek) or by card. Nothing is blocked on your card: that is how we always rent.
How you pay and pick the car up
When you land, walk the 4 minutes from arrivals to our desk and your car is waiting: you show your driving licence and passport, pay in cash (euro or lek) or by card, sign one rental agreement and drive off. The deposit you would normally block somewhere else? There is none: renting without a deposit is simply how we always rent, all year.
Your car, waiting four minutes from arrivals
Our desk is a 4-minute walk from Rinas Airport arrivals, open 24/7, and the same rates apply to our Tirana city office on Rruga e Durrësit (€15 delivery if you want the car brought to your door). Late-night Ryanair or Wizz arrival? No problem: we are open every day of the year, at every hour, for every flight.
Winter driving in Albania, in short
Tirana, Durrës and the coast stay snow-free most of the winter, and the new motorway keeps driving easy. Mountain destinations are different: the SH20 to Theth and Valbona can hold snow from December to February, so check conditions with us the day you drive; we rent SUVs with good ground clearance for exactly this. Visiting Kosovo, Montenegro or North Macedonia over the holidays is popular and simple: the cross-border permit is €20 per country, paid to us at booking (only the Green Card insurance is sold at the border). Read our Albania road trip guide for routes and driving rules.
